8(a) Certification & Application Review Workshop

The 8a certification and Application Review workshop is designed to assist businesses seeking to not only certify their company 8a, but teach you how to maximize your certification. In addition to the workshop, we have added an application review segment. At the completion of this full day workshop, you will receive an appointment to have your application reviewed by an 8a professional.

Part I: 8(a) Certification: named for Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act, 8(a) is a business development program created to assist small disadvantage businesses compete in the marketplace. Firms receiving certification are then qualified to do business with the Federal Government, the largest buyer of goods and services, with purchases totaling more than $500 billion per year.

Part II: The Value of Your Certification: The Federal Government purchases just about every type of product & service available. Federal agencies are required to establish contracting goals, with at least 23 percent of all government buying targeted to small firms. This workshop is for firms seeking 8a certification. In addition you will learn what it means to be 8a certified and how to utilize your certification.

Part III: Application Review: Receive an appointment to have an 8(a) professional review your application for completion before submitting to the U.S. Small Business Administration. The review would ensure all required forms are present, every question answered, required signatures, and more!
